It is not hard to see the problem our country is facing in literacy because it is not hidden like a gem that is why Everyday Literacy Empowerment discerns what has to be noticed. With the problem we have seen in literacy, we discovered a lot of problems that need to be focused on for the benefit of the country's people. It is always more than what we think therefore, a group of 3 women students decided to perform an action of calling out and trying to inform and reach out to people around them with the use of social media.
A study shows that an estimated 10 million of the Philippine’s population are incapable of reading and writing mostly because of poverty. They lack financially and has no fund for enrolling in school. There may be a government programs that helps students who lacks funds, lots of people is still not reached by the program. We saw the need in focusing of reaching the ones who need help in our community. That is why we established this website to let people know and help us spread that they are not alone. The eLITe is aware that there is a problem that will destroy the country so here we are, ready to keep the eye open, and will bravely speak out to the voiceless because of inequality.
